What are the most dangerous jobs?



The accidents at work are much more likely to be fatal when they occur in places where escape is impossible, in the case of professional divers, workers in underground mines and oil platforms.

The most dangerous profession is the timber industry, with 37 deaths for 100 000 employees during the year 2000. Secondly, are the occupations related to mineral extraction, a category that combines two of the occupations with the highest risk: underground mining and extraction of oil.
